Q1. How much do you charge for parts?
A1. We will quote you on any parts required
by you or us to build,
maintain or fix your computer.
Q2.
How come your prices are so reasonable?
A2.
We know just how important your computer is to you and just
how lost you are without it!! That's why we want to offer an
excellent service at a very
reasonable price. We do not have
the overheads that some larger businesses have, so we can
keep our prices at lower levels.
Q3. Do you work on Sundays?
A3. No, simply because we have to have
one day a week to rest!!
Q4.
How much notice do I have to give for you to visit me?
A4.
We will try to get to you as quickly as possible. We aim to be
with you within 24 hours of you contacting
us, but please bear
in mind that we do get busy at times and it may take a little
longer. We are well aware that you need your computer back,
up and running as quickly
as possible.
Q5. What qualifications
do you have and how much experience do
you have?
A5.
All our staff have passed the Cisco Comp Tia A+ exams standard
(Computer Telecommunications Industry Association) equivalent
to EUCIP standards. We also
have staff with specialist knowledge
in subjects like security, graphics interfacing, gaming.
Q6. I want to upgrade my computer. How long will it take to obtain
and fit
the parts?
A6. We can usually access
most parts within a day or two. Once we
have them, we will usually fit them the same day.
Q7.
Will you have to take my computer away to be repaired?
A7.
In most cases, no we won't. Most repairs and upgrades
can be carried out on your premises, however, in few instances
we may have to transfer your computer to our
premises for
more extensive testing.
Q8.
How safe is it for you to work on my computer on my
premises?
A8. We have
top quality industry standard tools to make working
on your machine safe. We use anti-static devices to avoid
static build up. We will also check
your basic wiring before
commencing work on any machine. Above all, any machine is
disconnected from the mains whilst we are working on it. We
never open power supply units, nor do we
repair monitors.
Q9. Are there
any parts that can't be repaired?
A9.
Answered simply, yes. In our throw away society most broken
computer parts cannot be repaired, but must
be replaced with
new ones. This doesn't mean to say we can't repair your
computer, what we do is
replace and reconfigure the parts,
where necessary, to make it work again. Not only that, but old,
broken parts are recycled.
Q10. I need a part for my laptop, why can't I use parts from
other laptops on mine?
A10. Put plainly, laptops are very individual. Each manufacturer
produces
their own parts for their own machines and those
parts are unique to that manufacturer. Generally parts from
one make of laptop to another are not interchangeable.
This
has exceptions, such as ram pieces and processors.
Q11.
I want to have a new computer built from scratch, how do I go
about it?
A11. First, contact us and we'll
come and see you to discuss what
type, size, power and cost of computer you require and what
you're going to use the computer for. Once we have the
information we need, then we will work out a quotation for
you.
Once
you agree to the quotation, we will then arrange to have
your machine built. Building times vary, depending on the spec
asked for, but as a rule, expect about a week to complete.
